JINYA Ramen Bar is a globally recognized Japanese ramen brand known for its slow-simmered broths, bold flavours, and modern approach to ramen dining. Over a four-year period, Popcorn supported JINYA’s continued growth in Metro Vancouver through grand opening campaigns for three locations: The Amazing Brentwood, Vancouver West on West Broadway, and Langley at Willowbrook Shopping Centre.

Objective

JINYA engaged Popcorn to build local awareness, generate excitement, and drive visibility for new restaurant openings across key Metro Vancouver markets. Each campaign was designed to introduce the brand to the surrounding community, earn attention from local food media and influencers, and create high-quality visual content that could extend the momentum beyond opening day.

What We Did

Popcorn planned and executed a mix of influencer events, media outreach, grand opening coverage, and professional photo and video production across all three launches. For The Amazing Brentwood, we hosted two influencer tasting events to create early buzz among local food creators. For Vancouver West and Langley, we expanded the approach to include media and influencer events, local business and community engagement, grand opening content capture, and event support, including decor coordination and on-site production.

Across the campaigns, Popcorn helped JINYA connect with local food creators, lifestyle influencers, community voices, and media outlets, while ensuring each launch had a steady stream of social-first content highlighting the food, space, opening promotions, and guest experience.

Result

Across three location launches, Popcorn helped JINYA generate coverage from more than 70 media and influencer partners, with a combined social audience of nearly 2 million followers. The campaigns produced more than 250 pieces of social and media coverage, including Instagram Stories, Reels, feed posts, TikTok videos, blog coverage, and media features.

Through a repeatable launch framework that combined creator engagement, earned media, community outreach, and professional content production, Popcorn helped JINYA build awareness and momentum across multiple Metro Vancouver openings.
